Analytical specifications
Weighing range
Large weighing range spanning from micro (< 1 mg) to macro (around 1 g of soil) applications and up to 15 mg of organic matter.
Precision
< 0.1 % absolute (homogeneous substance), depending on sample type, analysis mode, and configuration
Element concentration range
Largest dynamic range of element concentrations:
C: up to 50 mg absolute or 10 ppm - 100 %
N: up to 10 mg absolute or 10 ppm -100 %
Analysis time
~ 5 min, self-optimizing depending on element content and sample weight. Depending on sample type, analysis mode, and configuration.
Technical specifications
High-temperature combustion unit
Complete sample digestion at up to 1,200 °C (or 1,800 °C at the point of combustion when tin foil is used) with a ten-year furnace warranty. A jet injection of oxygen directly to the sample leads to the highest oxygen concentrations at the point of combustion, as well as low gas consumption. 100 % recovery is guaranteed even for samples, that are traditionally hard to combust.
Detector
Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD) optimized for C and N
Maximum furnace temperature
1,200 ° C (whereby 1,800 °C is briefly reached at the combustion point when using tin foil)
Required gases
Helium and oxygen
Purge and trap chromatography
While N as N2 travels directly to the thermal conductivity detector (TCD), C as CO2 is trapped on our TPD column. Only once the nitrogen peak reaches baseline, the column is heated rapidly and CO2 travels to the detector. This results in perfect peak separation without overlap, and automatic optimization of the analysis time.

Accessories
Electronic balance
Balance and elemental analyzer form a system. We offer analytical balances from the leading manufacturers with our instruments. Please ask us for further information.
Capsule sealing press
Tool for the exact dosing and gas-tight sealing of tin or silver capsules, for liquid and sensitive samples.
Sample former and pressing tools
For simplified sample preparation, we offer a manual tool for compressing samples in tin foil or cups, and a mechanical press for the preparation of pellets with paper wrapping.
Unmatched analytical performance:
Limit of detection (LOD) of 10 ppm or < 15 μg C
- The soli TOC® cube is the most sensitive instrument in the market and offers an unmatched measurement range from 0.001 – 100 % carbon.
- Reproducible measurements due to precise adjustable temperature with fast heating rates. Temperature is measured where it matters, directly at the crucible.
- Consistent high measurement quality thanks to the use of a post-combustion catalyst. This ensures that even high carbon-content samples are quantitatively oxidized.
- Optimized separation of residual organic carbon (ROC) and total inorganic carbon (TIC) for special samples thanks to integrated carrier gas switching.
Fast & easy analyses: Autosampler for 24/7 operation & automated ash removal
- Autosampler with 89 positions, optimized for unattended 24/7 high-throughput operation.
- Minimized efforts for sample preparation due to the advanced temperature ramping and the crucible technology.
- Automated ash removal and clearly arranged, easily accessible system components minimize maintenance efforts.
Einfachste Probenvorbereitung: Minimierter Aufwand dank Tiegeltechnologie

Nutzerfreundliche Wartung: Komfortabel & werkzeuglos
